“GIVE MY SHINGUARDS TO BRO0DWAY”
Broadway
I think I saw it on late-night TV
Skanky diagonal Indian trails with the Bowery
Broadway
Kickline syphillis variety
Didn’t pomade sludge from Collect Pond flood that alley?
“Gay White Way”?
Ah yeah, that strip where the graftsmen range
Barkers, newsboys, hot-corn girls
Yeah, they all deal mange
Let’s cross the Bowery
Through the cracks of a sportsmen’s saloon
Animatronic tonic, helium croons
Back at the Bowery
Toss your chicken bones from the balcony
Skeezy ‘n’ Greezy bone Oblivian there
For, like, a threepenny
Like a crawdad hole in the gaslight
Broadway, Bro0dway
Give my shinguards to Bro0dway!
Dripping has to be one of the best [underground] rock albums of the past decade. The album is burning alive with energy and I'm just a sucker for the sudden tempo/mood changes throughout it (reminiscent of Modest Mouse's LCW days e.g. teeth like god's shoeshine).
I already had this on vinyl but somehow it got soaked in water (probably not from my wife watering plants directly above my record collection...), so of course I had to replace it with this remastered, limited edition color version. BionicGiblet
amazing groove laden album I've been missing that "fugazi" sound for a while there is nothing quite like it...this album delivers groove based punk Adam Krupa
Super-solid debut, but if you got here somehow without hearing their self-titled full-length, make sure and snag that too. MG are on their own trip, I'm not sure how to describe it, and I love that. Howie Howard
The Swiss quartet's strongest release yet. Two tracks of assertive post-punk with primitive garage beats and and spaced-out synths. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 5, 2018
